Sunny Surf Camp

Sunny Surf Camp (Sunny Surf School) is a surf school in Narigama, Hikkaduwa, on Sri Lanka's south-west coast. It also operates in Arugam Bay on the east coast: Hikkaduwa in the winter season, Arugam Bay from May to October. Its main instructor claims more than twenty-five years of experience.

Each lesson starts with thirty minutes of theory on the beach, followed by practice in the water with a personal instructor. The price includes a rash guard, a board matched to the student's size and a soft drink; mistakes are reviewed after the session. Lessons are taught in English and Russian, and the school also offers surf guiding around the island. If the waves are unsuitable, the session moves to another spot with a $10 transfer fee.
