Illawarra Surf Academy

Illawarra Surf Academy is a surf school in the Illawarra region, south of Sydney, run by local pro surfer Nic Squiers. It teaches at Thirroul, Corrimal and Warilla and is licensed by Surfing Australia.

The offer covers kids aged 5 to 12 (SurfGroms), teens aged 13 to 17 (Surf-Teens), adults (group lessons, women's surfing, uni student sessions) and coaching for established young surfers from intermediate to elite, plus private lessons.

Coaches are Surfing Australia qualified and hold current first aid and surf rescue certificates. Groups are kept small. Beginner lessons run in shallow water, with a softboard and a 3/2 wetsuit provided.

Lessons all year round, Monday to Friday 7 am to 6 pm, booked online.
