TED SURF

TED SURF is a school and shop in Oamishirasato, on the Kujūkuri coast of Chiba, east of Tokyo. Its kitesurf school has been teaching since the early 2000s; owner Jun Adegawa presents himself as a pioneer of strapless kitesurfing and a Patagonia surf ambassador.

The kitesurf course has four sessions of one to three hours each: two on the beach to learn kite control, a first session in the water with body dragging, then getting on the board and water starts. Kite, board, harness, helmet, vest and wetsuit are included in the lesson price. The school does not run kite lessons from November to March.

TED SURF also offers surf lessons with board and wetsuit rental, stand-up paddling, foiling, wing foiling and e-foil lessons, and sells gear, including used foils and the Armstrong brand.
