Calima Kite Surf School is a kitesurf school on Lake Calima (Valle del Cauca), about two hours from Cali on the road to Buenaventura. It presents the lake as an ideal place to learn, with warm, steady wind all year.
It offers personalised courses: a 2-hour discovery lesson, a 10-hour Zero2Rider course to ride the board under control, and a 15-hour long stay to become an independent kitesurfer; a kids package is also available. Package deals include ten hours of lessons with IKO certification, insurance, four nights of private accommodation with breakfast and transport between school and spot, in Spanish or English.
The school rents kitesurf gear and paddleboards, sells equipment (boards, accessories, kites to order) and runs CasaKite B&B, a guesthouse set back from the village with kitchen, wifi, hot water and parking.
