Margarita Kite School (Margarita Village)

Margarita Kite School (MKS) is a kitesurf school on the Kalpitiya lagoon. Its accommodation camp, Margarita Village, is ten minutes from the kite centre: wooden bungalows under coconut trees with open-air showers.

The school is IKO-certified (Primary level) and teaches kitesurfing and wing foiling, with advanced clinics. Beginners go out with the rescue boat; experienced riders take the boat across the lagoon to the other side. Gear can be rented on site and storing your own is free.

The camp welcomes solo travellers, couples and groups, and also offers yoga, dolphin watching and excursions. The website is available in English, German, Spanish and French; the school reports more than ten years of activity in Kalpitiya.
