Chica Brava Surf Retreat

Chica Brava is a surf school and surf camp for adult women, based in San Juan del Sur since 2008. Founded by American Ashley Blaylock, who first came to Nicaragua in 2003, it describes itself as the first retreat of its kind in the country.

The all-inclusive week combines daily surf lessons with female coaches, small groups, daily video analysis and theory workshops. Programs are offered for beginners, intermediates, women over 40 and co-ed stays.

Guests stay in the villa in central San Juan del Sur or in the Cloud Farm jungle villas above town. Yoga, massage, airport transfers and optional excursions (catamaran, zip-line) complete the stay.
