Westbeach Monster

Westbeach is a kitesurf and surf school on the beach at Monster, in the Westland region south of The Hague, running since 2005. It describes itself as the largest kitesurf school on the Westland coast and says it trains more than five hundred kiters a year; it is an official Slingshot PRO Center, meaning lesson gear is Slingshot.

Kitesurf instructors are IKO certified, surf instructors ISA and KNWV certified. For kitesurfing, the 2-hour discovery lesson teaches kite control on the beach, the beginner package (2 sessions of 3 hours) leads to the waterstart and the IKO level 1 certificate, followed by intermediate and advanced lessons (jumps, toeside, kite loops). Surf lessons take place at the Zandmotor, private or in groups of up to eight, board and wetsuit included, with multi-day camps for children and teens.

Westbeach also organises outings for companies, families, schools and bachelor or hen parties, and runs a beach restaurant.

Open from March to October, 7 days a week.
