About the craftsman

Oosting Surfboards is the workshop of Wouter Oosting, a shaper who has built custom surfboards since 1996 and repairs surf, windsurf, kite and wingfoil boards, in a unit in the Moerwijk district of The Hague, near the Zuiderpark. Parking is free.

He builds custom surfboards, mostly in epoxy (EPS with no stringer and S-glass by default, but PU or Good Thanks Flexframe construction are possible); since October 2026 he also offers boards in 3D-PB construction, 3D printed with technology developed by Eric Rutjes. Repairs, mostly in epoxy, cover kite and windsurf boards (twin-tips, rails, paulownia wood, carbon), foils and wingfoil boards (often with vacuum), fin boxes, custom colour work and restoration. He also runs workshops on repairing your own board, test boards to try before you buy, and a pick-up and drop-off service between Moerwijk and Scheveningen.

Prices shown on the website (year not stated): custom surfboard from EUR 650 or EUR 120 to 150 per foot depending on construction; kite or windsurf board repair from EUR 50; wingfoil and foil from EUR 75; fin box from EUR 60; colour work from EUR 30; restoration EUR 350; one-to-one workshop EUR 125; pick-up and delivery EUR 25.
