Tornado Surf Soma Bay

Tornado Surf is an independent, family-run kitesurf and wingfoil centre in Soma Bay on the Red Sea. It works from two boats whose cabins serve as a hotel and a floating kite and wing station: the Legends stays on the spot overnight, while the Kite Adventure anchors in Soma Bay by day and in the marina at night.

The Soma Bay spot has a lagoon with a vast stand-up area for beginners and a large freeride area for advanced riders. The centre offers lessons, equipment rental, a rescue service and transfers. It presents itself as a certified IWO centre for wingfoil, with a wide choice of wings and boards, and also offers day trips and longer stays.
