School Presentation
Aloha Surf School is a surf school set up in 2004 by Pete and Ali on Fanore Beach, in the heart of the Burren in County Clare, on the Wild Atlantic Way. It describes itself as the only school on the beach, which is Blue Flag and lifeguarded.
Pete has surfed for over thirty years, coached for over twenty and trains beach lifeguards; he previously worked for the RNLI. Groups are kept small and coaching is personal. The school offers adult beginner and improver lessons, kids and teens lessons, family lessons, private and private-group lessons, and kids' camps. Lessons last two hours in waist-deep water with all equipment included.
Surfboards, bodyboards and wetsuits can be rented by people who have already taken lessons, depending on tides and conditions.
