South Shields Surf is a community interest company (CIC) based on the Sandhaven Beach promenade in South Shields, north-east England. Its aim is to make the ocean accessible to everyone: surfing, stand up paddleboarding, bodyboarding, coastal exploring, rockpooling, swimming and beach games.
The school gives surf lessons for adults, kids and mini surfers (ages 6 to 8), 4-week surf courses, paddle lessons, sessions for schools and groups, birthday parties and wellbeing programmes. It also offers adaptive surfing and para-surfing, with beach access wheelchairs, and equipment hire.
It is a Surfing England accredited surf school and holds an AALA licence.

Schedule
Mid-March to the end of October. Term time: Wednesday to Friday 12pm-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-6pm. School holidays: every day 10am-6pm, until 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Outside the season, get in touch for dates.
Pricing
Surf lesson: £25 per person (adults, from age 8); £20 for kids aged 8 to 16; mini surfers (ages 6-8, 1 hour): £10. Equipment included (year not stated).
