School Presentation
Morocco Bodyboard Academy describes itself as Morocco's first school dedicated to bodyboarding. Its base is on Jack Beach, in the Bled Abed development at Dar Bouazza, some twenty kilometres south-west of Casablanca, where it teaches bodyboarding, surfing and bodysurfing to children from the age of five and to adults.
The school was founded by Adnane Benslimane, twelve-time Moroccan champion and twice world runner-up, together with his wife Zineb Tebbaï, a Moroccan champion with a qualification in physical and postural preparation. Coaching is handled by qualified instructors drawn from Morocco's competitive riders. The school states that it is affiliated to the Royal Moroccan Surfing Federation and connected to the African Surfing Confederation and the IBC Bodyboarding World Tour.
Options range from a single taster session to a yearly club running from October to June, with a graded syllabus (Première Mousse, Vague Bronze, Vague Argent, Vague d'Or), one-to-one coaching with video analysis and courses during the school holidays. Boards, wetsuits and fins are included in lessons and can also be rented on their own. The academy also runs sessions for several Casablanca schools.
