Die Kiterei Cuxhaven

Die Kiterei is a kitesurf and wing surf school in Cuxhaven on the North Sea, with a shop, equipment rental and accommodation. Its "Bed & Kite" concept organises kite holidays for individuals and groups in its house and apartments.

Kitesurf courses run in a 2:1 format: two students share an instructor, a board and a kite, with a radio link for live corrections. The school teaches from age 8; the one-day course lasts 5 hours, 3 of them on the water (spot briefing, safety, theory, wind window, kite set-up, flying). After the water start you can continue with supervised kiting over the radio. Wing surf and wing foil courses are also offered. Courses take place 3.5 hours before high tide; information is sent by WhatsApp three days ahead.

Rental includes Slingshot and North kites and boards, Flysurfer kites, Ride Engine and Mystic wetsuits and harnesses, and wing foil equipment. The shop is open from 15 March to 31 October 2026.
