Kugelbake at Cuxhaven is a well-known North Sea kitespot with shallow water (200m) and a sandy beach. Famous for the passing cargo ships on the Elbe estuary. Best time: 3 hours after low tide for a 6-hour kite window. Best winds: N, NE, E, SE. Schools: Cuxkite. Year-round accessible, with April–October being peak season. Tidal spot — best 3 hours before and after high tide. Entry to the water via stone dam and stairs. Watch for wavebreakers (not visible at high tide). Do not land kite on wet grass.
