Zeil- en Surfschool De Lauwer

Zeil- en Surfschool De Lauwer is a watersports centre in Lauwersoog, on the Lauwersmeer and close to the Wadden Sea, in the province of Groningen. It claims 45 years of experience and runs sailing and windsurfing camps for children and teenagers, plus private lessons and rental.

On the boardsports side, the school runs windsurf weeks for ages 11 to 18, on gear from brands such as Starboard and Severne (a stable board and small sail at first, then a harness from level CWO2), and a wingfoil and surf week for ages 13 to 18, offered as a pilot. Private windsurf, wingfoil and sailing lessons are possible, as well as rental of boats, windsurf sets, SUPs and canoes.

The centre also teaches sailing (dinghies, keelboats, catamaran, CWO diplomas), which remains its main activity, and offers group accommodation.
