Carolina Salt Surf Lessons & Rentals

Carolina Salt is a surf school and beach gear rental company based in Folly Beach, near Charleston, South Carolina. It was founded by Kyle Busey, a Charleston surfer and multiple-time South Carolina and East Coast champion who also worked as a safety consultant on the series Outer Banks.

Surf lessons, with boards included, are open to all ages and skill levels on Folly Beach as well as Isle of Palms and Kiawah Island. Options range from group to private lessons, plus a one-on-one session with the founder on Folly Beach and a weekday summer "Early Bird" coached session for surfers who already surf independently. A surf camp for kids aged 6 and up runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to noon.

Carolina Salt also offers guided paddleboard and kayak tours, and rents surfboards, bikes, golf carts and beach gear delivered to your door, with a retail store in Folly Beach.
