Isla Surf School is a surf school in Folly Beach, the island just past Charleston, South Carolina. It offers private, semi-private and group lessons, from first waves to progression coaching, as well as corporate outings and parties.
The school has run summer surf camps for kids on Folly Beach since 2015, from age 7, with at most three campers per instructor, plus a mini camp at Isle of Palms. Gear (surfboard, wetsuit, rash guard) is provided during lessons, and surfboard and wetsuit rentals are available by the half day, day or week.
The team includes experienced instructors, among them former pro surfers, teachers and college students. Isla also runs stand up paddle tours and its own apparel shop, and supports charities such as the Warrior Surf Foundation.
