Kite Surf Maroc

Kite Surf Maroc is a kitesurfing, surfing and wingfoiling school in Essaouira bay, at No. 10 Beach Residence on Avenue Mohammed V. It was founded in October 2011 by Abdelfatah El Abdi, known as « Ftah », a windsurfing champion who had first worked as an instructor and then as director of one of Dakhla's large kitesurfing schools. The school claims sixteen years of experience, more than 570 Google reviews and operation 365 days a year.

What sets it apart is being both a fixed and a mobile school. You meet at the nautical base in Essaouira, then the school's 4x4 takes the group out of the crowded bay towards Kite Beach and quieter stretches of sand where the wind is steadier. That return transport from the base is included in the lesson price, as is all the equipment, which the school says it replaces every year. Instructors are presented as certified to international level 3.

All three disciplines come as lessons, rentals or packages, with a kids camp for children, trips and downwinders — the school even runs kitesurfing downwind runs towards Dakhla. It also offers its own accommodation, in a riad, a surf house or a villa, and welcomes guests in French, English and Spanish.

Open all year: the school writes that it operates 365 days a year and presents itself as running in every season. No daily opening hours are published; lessons are booked in advance and start from the nautical base in Essaouira.
