Biscou Surf School

Biscou Surf School is a surf school in Mirleft, in southern Morocco, founded by a team of Moroccan surfers. Hassan, the founder, describes himself as an ISA-certified surf coach and leads the teaching; he works with Saleh, co-founder and manager, and with Abderrahim, known as « Hamo », a regional champion. Guests are welcomed in French, English, Spanish and Arabic.

Group lessons take six people at most, in two-hour sessions combining theory and practice, from beginner to advanced; private lessons run an hour and a half, and children are taken from the age of six with a playful approach. The school drives its students to the beaches around Mirleft, including Plage Sauvage a few kilometres to the south, and rents shortboards, longboards, fish boards and bodyboards along with 3/2 or 4/3 wetsuits depending on the season.

Two seven-day packages, « Into the Wild » and « Secret Journey », add guesthouse accommodation, meals and six coached sessions; the school also points guests towards campsites, guesthouses and hotels in the village and puts together tailor-made stays. Changing rooms, showers, parking and wifi are announced on site, as are 4WD desert trips.
