Hey.Ola Surf Morocco

Hey.Ola Surf Morocco is a surf school run by a team from Mirleft, in southern Morocco. Mohammed, the founder, grew up on this coast, from bodyboarding to competition; with Ayoub he teaches all levels and takes guests to the waves of the area. Transport from the shop to whichever beach suits the day is included, as are board and wetsuit.

Two properties complete the school. The Surf House & Hostel, on Rue du Souk, has a six-bed dorm, double and twin rooms with shared bathroom, a double room with private bathroom and a two-bedroom apartment, plus a shared kitchen and dining room and a rooftop looking out to sea; it is a two-minute walk from Aftas beach and five minutes from the village centre. The Surf Villa, kept for retreats, stands a minute from Iminturga beach and a ten-minute walk from the shop.

The Hey.Ola shop, on the main street, rents soft and hard boards in every size along with wetsuits, and sells the usual accessories — wax, leashes — and its own clothing line. The school also runs a women's surf and yoga retreat. It describes its instructors as experienced certified local coaches, without naming a qualification.

No season or opening hours are published. The school announces a free morning pick-up to take guests to the surf spots.
