Spot-M Surf Camp

Spot-M is an independent surf camp in Mirleft, on the Atlantic coast of southern Morocco, founded in 2008 by Duncan Trevillion, Hassan Benjamal and Youba Benjamal. It brings together a beachfront surf school and restaurant, a local guiding team and several houses in town: guests can book a complete holiday, or only the lessons and guiding if they are staying elsewhere in Mirleft.

Accommodation is split across three houses, all with private en-suite rooms: the quieter poolside Surf House, and two houses closer to the village, Numidia and Line Up, neighbours on the same street. Packages combine nights, lessons or guiding, lunch on surf days, equipment, beach transport and return transfers from Agadir airport. Do not confuse Spot-M's "Line Up" house with "The Line Up Surf House Hostel & Yoga Studio", a Mirleft establishment with its own contacts and its own listing.

The school teaches beginners and experienced surfers alike from its permanent beachfront base, equipment and transport to the spots included. Guiding is for independent surfers: the spot is chosen each day according to swell, wind, tide and the ability of the group, and the team deliberately does not publish the quietest waves. Spot-M also runs overnight trips and 4x4 expeditions further south along the Saharan coast.

No opening season or opening hours are published: the camp only states that it has operated continuously in Mirleft since 2008.

Spot-M writes that Mirleft produces waves all year, with autumn and winter bringing the most consistent Atlantic swell.
