FORCE Kite & Wake is a kiteboarding school and shop in Mount Pleasant, just outside Charleston (South Carolina), close to Sullivan's Island. The team says it has taught more than 12,000 lessons, with a combined 48 years of experience in watersports; owner Stan runs the whole operation.
The school offers three-hour private kiteboarding lessons, semi-private lessons (two students maximum), advanced coaching, kite foil, wing foil and e-foil lessons, with a boat or jet ski following the student and spots chosen away from the crowds. The lesson program is published each year on the website and bookings are best made by phone.
The shop sells kiteboarding, foil and wing gear, accessories and apparel, with brands such as Cabrinha, Duotone, Airush and Core, and an online store that also ships abroad.
