KGB Kiteboarding & Watersports

KGB Kiteboarding & Watersports (KGB stands for Kite Gear Box) is a kiteboarding school and shop serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 2013, with a box trailer as its headquarters. The published address is Clipper Cove on Treasure Island.

The school offers kiteboarding lessons with jet-ski assisted coaching, usually one-on-one: the introduction combines a ground school (about 2 hours, with two students, at Treasure Island or Berkeley's Cesar Chavez Park depending on the weather) and a water session, about 4 hours in total. 2-hour coached sessions are also offered to kiters who can already fly a 4 or 5-line kite, at spots such as Toll Plaza Beach, Treasure Island, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate and Sherman Island.

The business also offers kitesurfing camps, an e-foil experience, kayak and SUP rentals at Clipper Cove, used gear (twin-tips, wings, surfboards, foils) and a repair service.
