School Presentation
SF Wing Foil Academy is a wing foiling school based in Tiburon, north of San Francisco, founded by Captain Joshua Waldman, who holds a 100-Ton U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain's license. Lessons take place on San Francisco Bay, with a support boat that takes students to a spot with steady wind and picks them up if they drift downwind.
The intro lesson lasts 3 hours (minimum age 10, up to 6 students); the school also offers a 3-day package (up to 4 students, 3 hours per day), a one-hour land training session, a Golden Gate wing foil downwinder for up to 3 riders and a guided tour of Crissy Field. The instructor coaches in real time through 2-way radio helmets and uses wide, stable boards to get students foiling from the first session.
Complete gear rental (board, foil, wing, wetsuit, pump) is available, and the school also advertises e-foil lessons.
