Kite The Gorge

Kite The Gorge is a kiteboarding school based at the Hood River Sandbar in Oregon, in the Columbia River Gorge. It is run by co-founder Carlos Cornieles, an IKO-certified instructor.

Lessons follow the IKO programme: introductory sessions to try the sport, then beginner courses with an assessment at the end and an IKO card stating the rider's level, recognised at IKO centres worldwide. Wing foil lessons are also offered.

All lessons are taught on new Slingshot gear, with step-by-step coaching on safety, equipment and basic skills. Gift certificates are available.
