The Little Kasbah

The Little Kasbah is a small surf camp in Tasra, on the hillside above Imsouane, a few hundred metres from the bay. The house takes no more than fifteen guests at a time and sells all-inclusive weeks: a bed in the dorm or a private room, half board cooked on site, six surf lessons, board and wetsuit, and transfers from Agadir or Essaouira.

Coaching happens in small groups on Imsouane Bay, a long sand-bottom wave with an easy paddle-out, while stronger surfers are driven a few minutes up the coast to Cathedral. Besides the standard weeks the house runs surf-and-yoga packages, a retreat, private longboard coaching in three-hour sessions with video review and photos, and a premium full-board format with two guided days. Single lessons are open to non-residents.

The camp is open about Imsouane after the January 2024 demolitions: its own spot guide, updated in 2026, describes a village being rebuilt and a wave that has not moved. A rooftop terrace, a patio, yoga sessions, Moroccan cooking, surfskate and sandboarding on the Timlalin dunes round out the stay.

Stays are sold by the week, 7 nights / 8 days. The house publishes neither an opening season nor daily hours.

Its own spot guide, updated in 2026, states that Imsouane can be surfed all year: the most consistent swell from November to March, a good compromise in September and October, smaller waves from April to June, often flat in July and August.
