La Tour d'Éole is an eco-lodge at PK 60 on the El Argoub road, on the eastern shore of the Dakhla lagoon, some sixty kilometres from the airport. Bungalows, rooms, suites and villas are built from sustainable materials, with solar panels, waste-water treatment and locally sourced cooking; two restaurants, two bars, a beach club and a wellness area complete the place.
The in-house water sports centre is called Ocean Academy. Created in 2017 with three-time freestyle kitesurf world champion Bruna Kajiya, it teaches kitesurfing, wingfoiling and windsurfing all year round, privately or in pre-formed groups of two to four, in sessions of 1 hour 45; since December 2024 lessons are given over walkie-talkie from the water start onwards. Lesson prices include equipment, breakage insurance and boat safety cover, and the lodge states it has been IKO-affiliated since 2020, with certified multilingual instructors.
The lodge was the first to settle on this stretch of the lagoon and gives access to two playing fields straight from the beach: a side-on-shore freeride spot rideable all day, and « La Piscine », a completely flat speed spot. The fleet is renewed every year in Duotone — 50 kites for lessons and 50 for rental, 5 to 17 m, Trust and Click bars, twintips, surfboards, carbon, SLS and D/LAB on supplement, the full Sky Free wing range and Freestyle Wave and Ultra Freewave windsurf boards. Riders bringing their own gear get a private locker, changing rooms with hot showers, rigging and launching assistance, rescue boats and overnight storage. The Ocean Academy also runs downwinders to the White Dune and the Speed Spot, surf trips to Pointe de l'Or and Oum Labouir, paddle sessions and boat outings.
Rates from the « Ocean Academy » brochure, in dirhams, with no validity date — the file is dated 2025.
