White Dune Canyon

White Dune Canyon is an eco-resort built from natural materials and powered by solar panels, set on the eastern shore of the Dakhla lagoon at Km 52 of the El Argoub road, about 45 minutes from the airport. It describes itself as sitting in the heart of the lagoon's « golden triangle », between the White Dune, the Dream Spot and the canyon, and offers only three categories of wooden bungalow — Duoboard, Wing and Kiteloop — around a restaurant, a pool, a spa and a yoga deck facing the water.

The school is run on site by ION CLUB Dakhla White Dune Canyon, open all year round from 10 am to 7 pm and located directly on the kite spot. It teaches kitesurfing and wingfoiling from the first lesson to advanced clinics, offers personal coaching, and rents the full Duotone range. The water in front of the centre changes with the tide: flat and shallow at low tide, deeper and playful at high tide.

The centre rides three areas: the home spot at the foot of the resort, the White Dune reached upwind by kite or wing, and Secret Spot, a maze of narrow channels further away. It also runs 4×4 surf and wave-riding trips to Pointe de l'Or (15 min), Oum Labouir and Aarich (30 min), downwinders, kite safaris, paddle sessions and e-bike rides through the dunes.
