Dakhla Kiteboarding, trading as Downwind Project, is a travelling kitesurf school set up in 2018 by Nanou, a French instructor based in Dakhla. It has no fixed camp on the lagoon shore: every morning the team picks students up at their accommodation and drives them by 4×4 to whichever stretch of water suits the day's wind, away from the kite camps. The spots it lists run from the White Dune to the Speed Spot, taking in PK 25, the oyster farm, Foum Labouir and Lassarga.
Lessons are taught in small groups of two to three students per instructor, or one to one, with a permanent radio link between instructor and student. Every instructor holds an IKO qualification. Sessions last three hours and cover the full progression, from kite control and body dragging to the water start and riding upwind. The school also runs guided downwind expeditions and, on windless days, surf lessons on the ocean side. Wingfoil is sold as a weekly course.
Dakhla Kiteboarding sells fully tailored week-long stays — lessons, rental, coaching, downwinders, accommodation of your choice — and houses its guests in a riad-style guest house with an infinity pool facing the lagoon, a terrace and a gear storage room; the address of that house is not published. Equipment rental (Airush kites, North boards) is supervised by the team and requires an independent rider level.

The wind season is given as March to mid-October, strongest in July and August. From November to February the school describes a quiet season when wind is still possible but less reliable.
No opening hours are published. Lessons run in three-hour sessions, scheduled around the day's wind and tide.
