Careca do Vento

Careca do Vento is a one-to-one kitesurf school on the Araruama lagoon, at Praia Seca, in Rio de Janeiro state. The instructor follows the wind: he has no fixed spot and picks the best conditions each day among the spots listed on the website (Coroinhas, Arubinha, Praia Seca), all in shallow water.

The stated method goes from theory and wind reading to safety and quick release, then body drag and power control, up to the waterstart and first sailing. Each lesson is filmed (Insta360, with a Sail Video System mount on request) for video feedback. The website positions itself as a specialist for students who have already tried and got stuck. Vest compulsory, students should be able to swim about 50 m, no age limit shown.
