The water sports base of the Océan Vagabond ecolodge, at the southern tip of the Dakhla peninsula. Trading as Salt Water Elements by Ocean Vagabond, it teaches and rents kitesurfing, wingfoiling and surfing on two complementary stretches of water. On the ocean side, at the foot of the bungalows on stilts, Lassarga beach runs for 1.5 km in front of a point break that peels right all the way to the fishing village — powerful in winter, gentler in summer. On the lagoon side, ten minutes away by shuttle, flat shallow water used by hotel guests only.
Private and semi-private lessons — two students per instructor, each with their own gear —, multi-session packages, and rental for independent riders. The fleet, renewed all year and supplied by Duotone and Fanatic, covers wings, boards, foils, helmets, vests, harnesses and wetsuits; on the surf side, from foam longboards to shortboards. Personal gear can be stored on site. Surfing is also taught as a six-day coaching programme with video analysis and personal follow-up.
This is a brand run on the site of the Océan Vagabond Dakhla Lassarga ecolodge, with which it shares its address and website: accommodation, catering and the spa belong to the Océan Vagabond brand, the water to Salt Water Elements. The ION Club network sells the same services as packages from its own site, under the name « OV Dakhla Lassarga ».
Prices taken from the website in October 2026, with no validity date.
Open all year round. The ION Club network states the centre opens daily from 10:00 to 19:00; Océan Vagabond publishes no opening hours on its own pages.
Wave season from November to March, flat water in front of the base from April to October.
