Windsurfing Center Premantura

Windsurfing Center Premantura was founded in 2000 in Premantura, at the southern tip of Istria. It started as a windsurfing school and mountain bike rental spot and has grown into a centre with several dozen school and rental windsurf boards, more than 100 mountain bikes, about thirty sea kayaks (mostly Exo Kayak) and a dozen stand up paddle boards.

The windsurfing school, which the centre says it is most proud of, offers group and private lessons: a 2-hour trial course, 6- or 8-hour basic courses (theory, simulator, balance, tacks, jibes, upwind and downwind sailing), a 5-hour advanced course (fast tack, power jibe, footstraps, beach start, harness) and a 3-hour fun course (water start, planing). Beginners use AHD boards of 170 to 230 litres with dacron sails of 1.5 to 6 m²; advanced courses use AHD Fast Forward boards of 130 to 160 litres and Challenger sails of 4.7 to 7.5 m². A wing school (wing and windsurf foil equipment rental) is also presented.

The centre also runs kayak excursions (half-day, full-day, cave) with snorkeling in the Kamenjak nature park and the Medulin archipelago, mountain bike tours, SUP sessions and "sports week" programmes for groups. Group discounts range from 5 to 15%.
