Posejdon Kitesurfing School

Posejdon is a kitesurfing and wingfoiling school located in Camp Galeb in Omiš, about 20 km from Split. It is run by the company Kite World j.d.o.o. and led by Frane Radomilja, owner and main instructor: about 30 years in watersports, windsurfing and then kitesurfing since 2005, an instructor since 2009. The website states that kitesurfing lessons have been given in Omiš since 2009.

The beach is sandy, with shallow water extending more than 100 m offshore, a setting the school presents as ideal for learning. Lessons are individual and tailor-made (2 students per instructor in most cases, at most 3 beginners). The full course is 10 hours over 3 to 5 days, equipment included; there is also an 8-hour mini course, a 3-hour entry course (theory and kite control in the water) and refresher hours. Wingfoil lessons are offered.

Since 2020 the centre has been the Croatian distributor and test centre of the German brand CORE Kiteboarding: CORE gear (kites, boards, wings) can be tried and bought there.
