Surf in Crete

Surf in Crete is a watersports school based in Kokkini Hani, near Heraklion, on Crete's north coast. It presents itself as an IKO and ASI affiliated center (an ASI instructor training center in Greece) and says it has been teaching since 2011. Lessons are led by Marios Trigonis, described as an IKO level 3 instructor and ASI trainer.

The offer covers kitesurfing (IKO courses with deep-water teaching from a boat and jet ski), wingfoil, surfing (introduction, private session, video analysis, a 5-hour course over 2 days) and stand up paddle, including for kids and families. Lessons are scheduled according to the day's wind, at spots such as Arina Beach (for advanced wave kitesurfers only), Amoudara (beginner to intermediate) or Malia Port.

The school has a base of about 3,000 m² set back from the beach, opposite the Arina Beach Hotel, with a teaching area, storage, office, shop, repair shop, barbecue area, camping and a yoga/pilates area.
