Kite Davos

Kite Davos is the snowkiting brand of Air-Davos Paragliding, Martin Heckmeier's paragliding and tandem flight school in Davos; both brands share the same phone number and email address. The school presents the Davos Klosters area as a prime snowkiting region, with good conditions in north wind, bise or foehn, and spots for every level.

The taster course is taught to a small group: students meet in Davos, then drive to whichever spot suits the day's wind direction best. After an introduction to the basics and the safety system, students learn to set up and secure the kite, then to fly and steer it, before riding their first runs on skis or a snowboard, pulled by the wind. Snowkiting equipment (Ozone and Flysurfer kites) is provided; students bring their complete ski or snowboard gear and must be confident skiers or snowboarders. The course also suits kitesurfers moving to snow and people preparing to start kitesurfing on water.

Kite Davos also offers a snowkite safari to the best spots in Graubünden, planned at short notice according to the wind forecast. Until the 2025-2026 winter, the school also offered snow wing taster sessions, using a hand-held wing on skis or a snowboard.
