Ferrel Surf House is a family-owned surf camp in Ferrel, 50 metres from Baleal beach near Peniche. It is run by Rui Norte, a Peniche local who has been teaching surfing for about twenty years, together with a team of local instructors.
The school focuses on progression: every morning the instructors pick the spot that best suits the conditions and the group's level. Groups are capped at 5 students per instructor, the coach stays in the water with the students, and video analysis and surf-skate sessions are part of the method.
The offer covers group lessons by level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), private lessons and coaching for experienced surfers. Boards and wetsuits are provided. The house also sells surf + accommodation packages in shared or private rooms, yoga sessions, board and bike rental, and has a restaurant.
