Topkite

Topkite is a water sports centre set up in 2010 on Plage Richelieu in Cap d'Agde, at the address of the local Centre nautique. It teaches kitesurfing, kitefoiling, wingfoiling, parawing, e-foiling and stand-up paddleboarding, and also runs boat-towed sessions: wakeboarding, wakefoiling and wakesurf foiling.

Lessons are given by state-qualified instructors, with no more than three students per instructor. Teaching relies on the boat: depending on conditions, a session starts on the beach and continues at sea, where the boat provides safety and supervision and brings students back upwind, away from obstacles and in water deep enough for foiling. Each session opens with a weather briefing and a level check. When the wind is too light for kiting (around 10 knots), courses carry on with boat-towed riding. E-foiling takes place at sea, often around the island of Brescou or towards La Conque beach, with a safety boat and radio. For kitesurfing, the centre takes students from 35 to 120 kg and recommends private lessons below 45 kg or above 110 kg.

Equipment is provided, wetsuit included: Duotone for kitesurfing, F-One for wingfoiling and parawing, and Fanatic inflatable boards for paddleboarding. Independent riders can rent gear with boat supervision or ride their own equipment in supervised sessions; the centre also runs paddleboard tours and presents itself as a gear test centre. On site: large car park, terrace and water point.
