Sporting Club Sardinia

Sporting Club Sardinia is a sports centre at Porto Pollo (Palau), affiliated with the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) and VDWS, and presented on its website as active for about thirty years. It runs two sites: the sailing base on the leeward beach, and the windsurf and wingfoil base on the sand isthmus linking the mainland to the Isola dei Gabbiani, with the Rupi's beach bar and a beach shop.

The windsurf school welcomes all levels from age 4 ("Gioco Surf" children's course for ages 4 to 7, beginner courses, fun board, foil). Group courses for beginners and children include full equipment, rescue boat assistance and a certificate. Activities run daily from 9:30 to 18:30, and the centre is open from Easter to early November. The wingfoil school offers complete courses and single lessons.

On the sailing side, the school teaches dinghy and catamaran sailing to adults and children from age 6, in Italian, English, French, Spanish and German, with federation instructors, on a Laser fleet (Bug, Pico, Laser Standard, Vago, Bahia, Stratos Keel) and Hobie Cats. The website also mentions surf, stand-up paddle, yoga and canoe; kitesurfing is offered through The Bros Company, whose contact appears on the site (+39 352 009 9123).
