FH Academy Porto Pollo

FH Academy is a water-sports school at Porto Pollo (Palau) founded by IKO instructor Gabriele Ghione, who launched the project at Porto Pollo for the summer 2015 season, at first with a small tent and kitesurfing only. According to the history on its website, windsurfing was added in 2016, then wakeboard and wakesurf, and a surf shop at Barrabisa in 2018.

The school teaches kitesurfing, windsurfing and wing foil, and also offers SUP, surf, wakeboard and wakesurf activities, camps, a transfer service and a "wind chasing" formula. Kitesurf lessons are all-inclusive (equipment, Bluetooth radio link with the instructor, insurance, instructor and rescue); students must be able to swim and weigh more than 30 kg. Instructors are IKO, FIV, VDWS and PASA qualified; the technical team chose Core Kiteboarding as its kite equipment for the 2019 season.

The multi-brand surf shop sells technical gear (kites, boards, harnesses, wetsuits, booties), clothing and accessories, and runs a repair workshop for kite and wing sails, bladders and bars, presented as the only one at Porto Pollo offering this professional service.
