Eolo Beach Sports

Eolo is a windsurf school based in Torregrande, the seaside district of Oristano, since 1994. Founded out of a passion for windsurfing, it has since added wingfoil, stand up paddle and Hobie Cat 16 catamaran lessons, plus an official beach-tennis school.

Lessons take place in the Gulf of Oristano, which the school presents as a safe place to learn. The windsurf programme includes a kids' course (ages 8 to 14, lighter gear), a beginner adult course (theory ashore, rigging, tacking, first notions of gybing) and an improvement course (fast tack, gybe, harness use). Wingfoil is taught as a basic course up to the first flight on a school board; SUP comes as a 4-hour course or a roughly 4-hour guided excursion along the Sinis coast, with equipment and life jacket provided.

The centre rents windsurf, wingfoil and SUP equipment (hourly or by subscription), stores customers' gear, and runs a solarium with sunbeds and umbrellas, a beach kiosk and a restobar. The club also hosts events, including the Eolo Beach Contest beach-tennis tournament, and a summer camp.

The team includes Eddy Piana (founder, FIV instructor), Gabriel Salas (windsurf and wing instructor), Giuseppe Carboni (FISW SUP instructor) and a FITP federal master for beach tennis.
