Club Nautique Alpin Serre-Ponçon (CNA Embrun)

The Club Nautique Alpin Serre-Ponçon (CNA) is a water sports base in Embrun, between the Embrun lake and Lake Serre-Ponçon, linked to a campsite and holiday accommodation. Its sailing school is labelled Ecole Française de Voile by the French Sailing Federation.

For board sports, the Chadenas base on the lake side is described as the spot on the lake where the thermal breeze is strongest, with near-daily wind from midday until late afternoon. The school offers windsurf courses (3 to 6 days, from age 15), wingpaddle and wingfoil courses (from age 12) and a pump dockstart class (from age 15), in addition to sailing (dinghy, catamaran, SB20 keelboat from Savines-le-Lac).

Courses run during the summer holidays in 2-hour sessions; private lessons for one or two people are possible from early May to late September. A life jacket is lent to all participants and a shorty wetsuit to windsurf trainees. The club also offers equipment rental, a sports club and professional training.

Summer courses: 2-hour slots, 1:30-3:30 pm (beginners, wing introduction), 3:45-5:45 pm (advanced, wingfoil) and 10:30 am-12:30 pm (pump dockstart). Private lessons from early May to late September. School closed at the end of the 2026 season, back in May 2027.
