Voile Lacanau Guyenne

Voile Lacanau Guyenne (VLG) is a sailing club that has been in Lacanau since 1959, based at La Grande Escoure on the shore of Lake Lacanau (24 allée du Club de Voile). Its website shows a 2026 copyright; the club holds the FFV Qualité Tourisme label.

Year-round sailing takes place on Saturdays from March to October, outside holidays, from age 4 (10:30am-12:30pm for children, 2pm-5pm for ages 12 and over). During school holidays, courses run Monday to Friday, with 2 hours of sailing per day. The club also offers private lessons on all boats, boating licence preparation and supervised rental (wingfoil included). Boats include Optimist, catamaran, dinghy, windsurf and wingfoil (Duotone equipment), with paddle as well.

Wetsuit and life jacket are provided. The club has 10 employees and over 1,000 licence holders; it is open Tuesday to Saturday off-season and seven days a week in July-August. Accessible to reduced-mobility visitors, with changing rooms, showers and a club house.
