Toronto Windsurfing Club
2 Regatta Rd, M5A 1A3 Toronto · Ontario · Canada
Description
The Toronto Windsurfing Club is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit association with just over 550 members. It describes itself as the largest windsurfing club in Canada. Its base is in Toronto's Outer Harbour on Lake Ontario.
The club runs windsurfing lessons for adults: three-lesson courses for beginners and next-step riders, single try-it sessions, intermediate clinics, practice sessions, and private or semi-private lessons. Qualified instructors teach, with an average ratio of one instructor to five students. Wing foiling lessons are also offered.
Every summer a youth camp for ages 10 to 17 follows CANSail levels 1 to 3 (windsurfing and winging). The club also organises races, including a Wednesday evening series, and member events.
