Description
The Leu Tropical Surf Team (LTST) is the surf club of Saint-Leu, founded in 1989 and accredited as a training club by the French Surfing Federation. In 2024 it received the Trophée Impulsion Sport from the national sports agency for its work promoting women's surfing.
The club guides young people and adults through a structured progression, in groups by level, from the first take-off to competition. Coaching is provided by state-qualified instructors (BPJEPS Surf, BE Surf), with specific skills in health surfing and adaptive surfing. School-holiday courses are offered for all levels.
LTST also helped set up the Saint-Leu water patrol, a safety system against shark risk, and organises sporting events.
