Description

Larukite is the kitesurfing association of Lauttasaari, a district of Helsinki. Founded on 14 June 2015, it aims to promote safe kitesurfing that respects other beach users in Lauttasaari and nearby.

The association's website gathers the spot rules (no kiting at Kassari during the swimming season, recommended rigging areas, launch and landing area), a chat, a wind meter and a spot webcam. It also presents the 2025-2026 kite courses and how to become a member.

The Lauttasaari spot is not suited to learning: the bottom is scattered with underwater rocks, and the association sends beginners to Kallvik, Hanko or Pori. The annual general meeting is held at the Lauttasaari Surf Club, Särkiniementie 22.
