Eastern Surfing Association

The Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) is an amateur surfing association with its address listed in Cocoa Beach, Florida. It describes itself as the largest amateur surfing association in the world, with over 8,000 members and nearly 60 years of history.

It is organised into 22 districts along nearly 2,000 miles of coastline, from Maine to the Gulf coast (Florida, Alabama) and the Great Lakes.

The ESA runs district competitions, regional championships (Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast) and the Easterns, along with an All-Stars team and the Marsh Scholarship. Amateur world champions it names include Kelly Slater, CJ Hobgood, Frieda Zamba and Lisa Andersen.
