Doug Haut Surfboards, kitesurf craftsman in Santa Cruz

Haut Surfboards is the workshop of Doug Haut, one of Northern California's best-known shapers, based in Santa Cruz. The website celebrates the shop's sixtieth anniversary.

A surfer himself, Doug Haut charged Sunset Beach in the 1960s, was invited to the Duke Kahanamoku contest and has ridden Steamer Lane for five decades. He has over forty years of shaping experience and builds every type of board: shortboards, longboards, hybrids, guns and windsurf boards.
