This sandy beach offers direct west exposure on Lake Michigan in a preserved natural setting. The area is less crowded than spots at major coastal towns, offering more space and tranquility for riding. West and northwest winds generate regular waves.

Longshore currents possible along the coast in strong winds. Less crowded than tourist beaches, offering more riding freedom.
Hazards
Longshore and rip currents possible in strong west winds. Cold Lake Michigan water with hypothermia risk. Relatively remote area with limited rescue services — bring safety equipment. Violent thunderstorms possible in summer with lightning risk — exit water immediately. Dunes can create turbulence near shore.
