Pentwater Beach is a kitesurf spot located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, in the charming village of Pentwater, Oceana County, Michigan. This picturesque village offers a nice sandy beach with west exposure on Lake Michigan. The channel leading to Pentwater Lake separates the north beach from the south beach. West and northwest winds generate waves for surfing. Relaxed vacation village atmosphere with nearby shops and restaurants.

Sandy bottom with gradual slope. Longshore currents possible along the coast in strong winds. Channel jetties can modify currents locally.

Cold Lake Michigan water with hypothermia risk. Busy beach in summer — watch for swimmers. Violent thunderstorms possible with lightning risk — exit water immediately.
