On the water

Sheltered bay-style water body with flat to slightly choppy conditions. Brackish and cold water (10-16°C/50-61°F), a 4/3 wetsuit is recommended. Muddy and sandy bottom. Moderate tidal currents in the bay. The bay's protection offers much calmer conditions than the main estuary or ocean.
